Jordan Moser (Azr) wins $10,000.00 on Stern
February 1st, 2012
Jordan Moser who mixes by the name AzR recently cashed in on the very popular multi-million listener radio show - THE HOWARD STERN SHOW. AzR picked up $10g's as the winner of the recent sound bite contest featured on the Stern Show website.
Jordan was able to take the posted (approved and not so clean) sound bites and mix together his original track featuring tidbits from Howard, Robin, Richard, JD., and many of the interesting and colorful guests that you can hear almost anytime on Howard 100, (Sirius/XM's most popular channel) with an estimated 5-6 million active listeners.
Non-withstanding, a few explicit sound bites and some inappropriate material for those brave enough to listen... Jordan was able to create a groovin original track. One of 5 finalists that were featured live on the show, once Howard played Jordan's "Howard Stern Is The Man" you knew he was a contender. "Howard was digging the groove and I felt good about my submission" "It was fun..and hey..$10g's comes in real handy" Jordan will be one of our featured talent at the upcoming ReelReview.tv Leap Year event being held in NYC on the 29th. Check out his work on the reelreview.tv site.

IKA COLLECTIVE UNLOCKS "The Midnight Archive" 2012
The new web documentary series “The Midnight Archive” pulls back the curtain on some of the most eccentric and least explored characters in the world.
Produced by New York City-based IKA Collective, “The Midnight Archive” introduces viewers to such originals as: Sorceress Cagliastro, who will happily mummify your pet, and perhaps even you one day. Tattoo artist Sue Jeiven, who in her spare time turns Brooklyn roadkill into Victorian Styled Tableaus. Curious about where you can talk to the dead in New York City? The show follows Mitch Horowtiz, on his guided occult tour. It also takes viewers around the world with photographer Paul Koudounaris as he captures hidden Cathedrals built entirely of human bones.
The project is the brainchild of IKA Collective’s Senior Editor/Director Ronni Thomas, whose professional career has been everywhere from legend horror studio Troma Entertainment to working with iconic commercial and music video director Bob Giraldi. Thomas created this original webseries to shine a light on these intriguingly odd characters.
“I didn’t have any idea where this might lead,” explains Thomas. “Doing this series has been an eye opening experience for me, meeting people just like myself and realizing just how many people have the same interests. The most interesting thing to me is that beyond the subject matter, you have these incredible characters. And they range from what I call niche scholars to punk rock intellectuals. It’s that fringe element where art, science and history converge”
While the series can currently be seen at www.themidnightarchive.com, and on YouTube, IKA Collective is actively pursuing television distribution deals as well.
“One of the things that defines IKA Collective is our creative diversity," Ian Karr, Founder/Director of IKA Collective says. "We encourage everyone to follow their curiosities wherever they lead. Ronni is an amazing talent who also happens to deliver standing-room-only lectures on the strange and unusual. There’s no better person to pull back the curtain on this world and I think he’s done that in a really entertaining and informative way.”
“The Midnight Archive” springs from Thomas’s experiences lecturing at the Brooklyn Observatory, an artistic space in Brooklyn, NY, hosting screenings, classes and exhibitions focused on topics residing at the intersection of art and science, history and curiosity, magic and nature. After meeting many of these unusual characters, Thomas, Karr and producer Joanna Ebenstein (one of the founders of the Brooklyn Observatory), set out to share their stories with the world.
For Thomas, one of the things that he’s most proud of is that unlike most web series’ “The Midnight Archives” looks like something you might actually see on television.
“With so much content available online, to keep viewers coming back you have produce something that is not only interesting but also watchable," Thomas adds. “Our goal from the outset was to make a broadcast quality show for the Internet and that’s what we’ve accomplished.”

Re:Think recreates holiday magic for Philips Norelco
December 2011
CHICAGO — Re:Think Studios (www.rethinkpost.com) completed new holiday spots for Philips Norelco that revive the company’s stop-motion campaign from the early 1990s. The :30 and :15 commercials promote Philips Norelco’s SensoTouch 3D rechargeable electric razor and feature an animated Santa riding the razor over snow-covered hills.
The commercials were originally conceived to serve as an interactive campaign, but the client decided to use then in their 2011 holiday broadcast schedule.
Walton Isaacson senior creative Andrew Holton and designer Diana Litavsky, along with freelance producer Nathan Brown of Nathan Brown Productions contracted Re:Think Studios to modernize the former campaign. Re:Think CD Brian Bullock says the goal was to respect the look and feel of the classic campaign, particularly the physical camera and the artistic quality of the stop-motion models.
BixPix Entertainment in Burbank, CA, fabricated the sets and a cast of characters. Bix Pix’s Drew Hodges directed and animated all the stop motion in their Burbank studio, and then zipped the files to Re:Think where the studio went to work on modeling and animating the 3D razor, creating the matte paintings for backgrounds, and fashioning elements that would help bring the scenes to life. Re:Think also handled editing, compositing and lighting the final piece. Re:Think founder Jessica Simmon performed the edited and assembled the final composite. The studio relied on Photoshop to create elements for the matte paintings and After Effects for compositing. Avid DS was used for editorial, final compositing and top-layer color. 3D modeling and animation was performed using Autodesk Maya, and Luxology’s Modo was used for rendering.
Another Country provided original sound design.
